Perfectly Productive

Being a responsible adult often means doing things that we don't necessarily love doing, for the greater good. When it comes to our health, taking a proactive approach means keeping regular appointments with both doctors and the dentist- so if it's been a while since you scheduled a visit it could be worth thinking about. Simply waiting until oral issues arise mean that any problems are already reasonably advanced, this means they'll be harder to treat, more painful and likely to cost you more money. To stay healthy, productive and not let issues with your teeth hold you back in any way, you need to be attending the dentist ideally twice a year. If you're not registered at all, search for dental practices in your local area- for example type 'dentist in Chiswick' or 'NHS dentist near me' and call around to see if anywhere has spaces for new patients.

The need to attend dental check-ups
Every dentist will tell their patients about the need to attend their check-up. A dental check-up allows time for the teeth and gums to be examined, they are also used to allow time for any treatment to be recommended and prescribed. These appointments provide a communication route between the patient and any professionals involved in their treatment.

Self confidence
As well as from a health perspective, dentists can also help with many issues with self confidence. There are so many treatments these days that can improve a persons smile from simple whitening to veneers, straightening and full orthodontics which can even improve the alignment of the jaw and the overall appearance of the face.

Why not register?
When you're not registered with a dentist, you're missing out on vital treatment and advice you may need to avoid the development of serious dental issues. The first appointment will allow a dentist to you as the patient, introduce themselves, and carry out the first examination that will be used to help form a dental treatment plan that meets your needs. At this appointment a conversation can take place about any concerns the patient may have and any goals they may have within their oral health and hygiene, this will help to inform the care plan going forward.
